Blog Posts

Hello again!  I am on a roll…2 posts in 2 days!  I really enjoyed doing yesterday’s linky party with Blog Hoppin’ so I decided to come back and participate in today’s linky party as well.  Today’s linky party is all about new ideas.  I don’t know about you but my life is crazy busy!  Anything that I can do to make it go smoother, I am all about.  For me, organization is essential!  There are a few tips that I would like to share with you today that make my life a little more efficient.  First thing…USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS!  In today’s world we need usernames and passwords for everything!  I can’t keep them all straight.  It all started with me writing them on post-it notes and sticking them everywhere (real confidential, right?).  HA!  Now I put them on note cards, hole punch them, and stick them onto a metal ring.  I store this in a more confidential, secret place now!

Onto new idea #2…I would have to say that this has been one of the biggest time-savers that I have in my life right now!  My bible teacher binder goes with me everywhere!  It stores EVERYTHING that I need when I go through my school day.  I made a cover sheet and divider sheets for this binder and they are in my TpT store right now!  You will see in the picture below that each section has a tab.  These tabs make it quick and easy for me to find what I need!

Here’s a sneak peek at just a few of the things that can be found on the inside of my teacher binder.  The calendars are free from my favorite 2nd grade blogger- Amy Lemons!  This woman is amazing, seriously!  I don’t know how she does it all but I do know that she is organized.  Click HERE for a direct link to these calendar pages.

My lesson plan templates I have done for the past 8 years now.  I love them!  Initially they take quite a bit of time to make but once the template is done, it saves so much time throughout the school year.  Each day has its own customized template.  It’s not only nice for me but for a sub too!!!  I spend far less time getting ready for a sub than I did prior to these templates!
