How to Use the Writing Centers

These centers are perfect for whole group, small group, or independent stations. (Or even for one-on-one differentiated, intensive instruction.)

These centers are organized by standards, rather than by seasonal themes. This allows for use all times of the year to best fit any curriculum.

Whole & Small Group Ideas

• Use a center as a whole group “game”: Project an activity under a document camera, played up front in “circle time” fashion, or used online in the digital format. Introduce the centers with this format!
• Around the Room: Display the task cards of a selected center around the room and have students hunt for them! Students will be super engaged!
