Creating Your End of The Year Memory Book
Building and completing the End of The Year Memory Lapbook is an activity that can be done in one long day or broken into pieces and finished over the course of a few days. Some teachers use it as an ELA center. Just show students a previously completed lapbook or photos and they can work independently. Even your reluctant writers will enjoy using the short writing prompts included in the lapbook.
The digital version of the End of the Year Lapbook is no prep. Simply assign the Google Slides to your students for them to fill out individually. For the printable version, students each need a file folder along with their own copies of the pages. This is an easy activity to use in socially distanced classrooms because students each have their own materials.
The End of the Year lapbook is customizable. You choose which of the following pages will work for your students:
- This is me
- Bucket lists for the summer
- My teacher
- My friends
- Lunch
- Favorite books
- Field trips
- Autographs
Another benefit to these end of the year memory books? Students will love collecting the signatures of their friends when they’re done putting them together!
