Midwest Blogger Meet Up

What happens when you put 4 passionate teacher bloggers (who have never met each other) into a vehicle and send them on a 14 hour road trip…an AMAZING ADVENTURE!  I was so lucky to have met 3 new teacher bloggers of whom I feel like I already knew prior to our Chicago road trip.  Approximately one year ago I upgraded to a premium membership on my TpT account, took my ability to create teacher resources to another level, and intentionally blogged and pinned on a regular basis.  As I reflect on this last year, it has been such an overwhelmingly gracious year of huge milestones that I never in a million years would have thought could happen in just one year.  If you would have told me one year ago that I would be going on road trips with other bloggers to places like Chicago, I would not have believed it!  But, here I am, it’s real.  It’s happening.  I am thankful.

Oh, and just in case you were wondering, these three beautiful women that I had the honor to travel with are Kayla from Top Dog Teaching, Katie from Teachin Thrifty, and Lindsey from Little Prowlers.  Take a moment and stop by their blogs to learn more about them!

Without further adieu, here are my Top 10 Moments from this Meet Up Weekend…

#10  I enjoyed a pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks in downtown Chicago with my new blogger friends.  We chatted, people watched, and laughed…good times!

#9  Attended Chicago’s Fashion Week and did a little bit of red carpet action ourselves!

#8  Discovered that some people from Wisconsin use the word snit for something that you can drink.  We found this to be quite comical and referenced it many times throughout the weekend.  #snitsandcheese

#7  The Bean is even more impressive in person than photos.  Here are some shots of us taking it all in!

#6  One day in downtown Chicago is not enough…I want to go back soon and experience more!

#5  Teachers are very crafty and creative.  Here we are painting and getting to know each other.

#4  Teachers are also great at planning and providing yummy snacks.  Everything was delicious!

#3  Lakeshore Learning and Creative Teaching Press are very generous!  We got a lot of great goodies for FREE!

#2  Meeting and collaborating with other teachers makes my heart happy!  There are days that I wish I could do this full time!

#1  This experience will be one that I never forget!  True friendships were built and some wonderful collaboration happened!  Stay tuned for some future Midwest Blog Hops!

I am so glad you all had such a great time! Be sure to keep me "in the loop" for future meet-ups! I have two sisters that live near the city, and my daughter will be moving there in two weeks and then performing there through May! You need to go back and take Miss Molly to the American Girl store!
